As I mentioned in our previous post, we celebrated July 4th in Ohio with Ryan’s family. Ryan’s siblings and their families came to Grandma Cindy and Grandpa Don’s house for the weekend too – the whole family was there!
Noah had a blast playing with his cousins Jewel and Jenson. They played in the tent, cruised around in Jewel’s jeep, pushed each other around in the wheelbarrow, made arts and crafts with Grandma, played cornhole and baseball, and much, much more. Check it out – they were a busy bunch! And yep, the adults got in on the fun too.
And here is a short video of Noah and Jewel running in circles and giggling at Grandma.
And of course, we can’t talk about our July 4th festivities without mentioning the food. As always, Grandma and Grandpa prepared some AMAZING picnic meals: hamburgers, hotdogs, pasta salad, chicken salad, veggies, pineapple, watermelon, and so much more – yummy!
As you can tell from the pictures and video, the weather was gorgeous that weekend…so we of course had to jump at the opportunity to go swimming in the neighbor’s pool! Thank you, Carol, for letting us splash around – what a great way to enjoy the beautiful day.
But don’t worry, we didn’t spend the entire weekend in the sun – the kids had plenty of indoor fun too.
Here is a short video of Noah and Jewel “playing” a piano duet. I’m sure this is music to someone’s ears…probably just Grandma’s. Ha.
And of course, the family festivities would not be complete without visiting Aunt Edna. Noah and his cousins had fun playing cars on Aunt Edna’s living room floor and sneaking all of her chips. (She always has a can of Pringles saved just for them.)
We were so glad to be able to visit with so many other people too. We got to see Noah’s godfather Chris and his family, as well as Ryan’s godmother Shirley and her husband Norm.
If you missed our previous post about the first few days of our trip to Ohio, you can read it here. Noah had a great time exploring the local parks and attractions with his “Gamma Dindy” and “Papa-a-Don.”
We had a great time in Ohio – we can’t wait to visit again!
