Two weekends ago we met up with our good friends Matt, Carolyn and Jerome for the fall festival at Cox Farms in Centreville, VA. It was a great way to enjoy the beautiful fall weather.
Jerome and Noah had fun going down the haystack slides, eating apple cider donuts on the tractor, playing on the train, and watching the farm animals.
Here is a short video of Noah going down the slide – weee! As a quick reminder, if you’re reading this post in an email, you may need to open the blog webpage in order to view the video. To do so, just click on the title of the post (the link in blue) at the top of the email to open the blog in your web browser.
We also went on an awesome 20-minute hayride that took us through a jungle, an old west town, a haunted barn, and under a troll bridge. We also saw dinosaurs and an alien spaceship on our ride. But even with all this, Noah’s favorite part of the hayride was going over the bumps and through the giant mud puddles – shocker!
And of course, our fall adventure wouldn’t be complete without picking pumpkins from the giant pumpkin patch!
We had a great time at Cox Farms – this was actually our second visit there – and we can’t wait to go again next year. Noah was able to enjoy more of the activities this year than when we first visited when he was one-and-a-half years old…so it will be exciting to see which activities he’ll want to try next year. Who knows, maybe we’ll finally tackle that 150-foot mega slide – you’ll have to stay tuned!
