Yesterday Noah and his friend Isabelle rode the annual Santa train – the Cupid Express – on Virginia’s Railway Express (commuter rail line). They let the big kids (the parents) aboard too – score! This special event is a fundraiser for Operation Lifesaver (a nonprofit focusing on train safety) and Toys for Tots…two great causes.
The ride lasted about an hour; we boarded the train in Burke and went to Manassas and back. The choir from a local high school sang carols during the ride. “Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way!”
The highlight of the ride was seeing Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Noah didn’t care much for Santa last year (we rode the Cupid Express last year too), but he warmed up to him this year. Yep, Noah now knows who gives the best gifts – Santa!
Noah asked Santa for a trolley train for his track. We’ll see soon enough if Santa has Noah on his “nice list” and leaves a trolley on Christmas Eve.
Thank you for coming along for the ride, Isabelle and Yvonne! Noah had a great time!
