As we hinted to in our previous blog, we flew to Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Rod’s house in South Dakota for Christmas. It was 75 degrees in Washington, DC when we left on Christmas Day, and it was 15 degrees in South Dakota when we landed – brrrrrr! But you can’t have Christmas without snow, right? And what do we do in the snow? We play!
Noah was so excited to ride on the tractor with Grandpa Rod. That’s all he talked about for a few weeks leading up to our trip. Noah had a great time “driving” the tractor and moving the bucket. Check it out…
And here’s a short video clip of Noah’s tractor ride too. As a quick reminder: If you’re reading this post in an email, you may need to open the blog webpage in order to view the video. To do so, just click on the title of the post (the link in blue) at the top of the email to open the blog in your web browser.
Noah was also excited to help Grandpa shovel snow. I don’t know if he was actually that helpful, but he definitely had fun. Ha.
Here’s a short video of Noah singing while shoveling. “Santa Claus is coming to town!” Crazy kid!
Noah got to go sledding too. On our first day of sledding, we used the old sled from a few years ago. It was a little snug – wow, Noah has grown – but it still did the trick.
The next day Grandpa Rod brought home a big kid sled…
Check out this short video. They got that sled moving fast!
Ryan got a ride on the sled too!
If you’re wondering how Noah managed to pull the big kid, check out this short clip…
Yep, the boys had a lot of fun playing in the snow when we were in South Dakota. Stay tuned to read more about our holiday festivities – our warm indoor festivities! Ha.
