Two Saturdays ago we met up with our good friends Adam and Yvonne and their two kids Isabelle and Ethan at a Truck Touch event down the road in Burke, VA. If you’re a frequent reader of this blog, you know that Noah LOVES these events! This particular Truck Touch was a fundraiser for the Spring-Mar Cooperative Preschool in Burke.
There was a wide variety of vehicles (primarily BIG trucks) for the kids to sit in, steer, honk the horn, flash the lights, and turn on the sirens – you can’t beat that! Emergency vehicles from Burke and Fairfax County included fire trucks, an ambulance, a police car, a police van, and an animal control truck.
The kids also explored a backhoe, recycling truck, box truck, and flatbed tow truck. Check it out!
But the coolest thing there was definitely the police helicopter from Fairfax County! We actually got to watch the helicopter land and then take off an hour or so later – so cool!
Here are two short videos of the helicopter landing and taking off. We were so close! As a quick reminder: If you’re reading this post in an email, you may need to open the blog webpage in order to view the videos. To do so, just click on the title of the post (the link in blue) at the top of the email to open the blog in your web browser.
And the fun didn’t end there. Noah and Ryan also managed to sneak in a little train ride. All aboard!
Here’s a short video of their ride too…
Noah had a great time with Isabelle and Ethan at the Truck Touch! Beep, beep!
